Bebaridi

There is no economical method to chill milk for small-scale dairy farmers in Africa. Dairy cooperatives have organised a morning milk collection system. However, they do not accept evening milk, since without cooling by morning it will have spoiled.

Bebaridi is an off grid portable cooler designed to empower Africa’s small-scale dairy farmers. Customers are provided with a new milking routine allowing them to prevent milk wastage and increase milk yields by up to 42%. An innovative passive cooling solution makes it more efficient than previous portable coolers. There is also potential for Bebaridi to be used in medical transport to help remote communities with poor healthcare.
