Playful Storage

A storage solution that draws on psychology to support child development and help form good habits with tidying.

Involving children in tidying up, even in small ways, makes them feel valuable as members of their environment. It also teaches them to take care of their toys and possessions.

During play and tidying, the boxes that make up the storage unit become shuffled, and so toy rotation is encouraged. Children are also encouraged to store boxes correctly in the unit so that the interactive element of the design works: a disc that travels through the front of the unit like a marble run.
