The cardboard tent structure is collapsible for easy transportation and assembly, attached using bio plastic rivets to secure the four elements of the tent. The cardboard is waterproofed using a starch based barrier coating, like what is used in food packaging as it is cheap and biodegradable.
A one-time-use recyclable tent attempts to cut down on the amount of plastic waste generated at festivals. Pre-pitched rental services become a more cost-effective choice for festival goers due to the tent’s low production costs and staff time savings during set-up.
