T.O.M

// A project exploring data access, literacy, sharing and utilisation within modern agriculture.

Tangible Organics Monitoring (T.O.M) is a project exploring how farmers might better access, understand, and act on their agricultural data. With growing complexity around ownership and access, the project questions how insights are currently communicated in the field.

Through discussion with farmers, contractors, researchers and designers, it became clear that tools must be simple, familiar and genuinely useful. “Farmers don’t want data - they want something to use.” The outcome is a monocular device that lets farmers interact with insights in real time. Utilising widely deployed technologies, it replaces static dashboards with extended reality to make data more intuitive and actionable across modern agricultural systems.
