The challenge of eating is a topic which has not previously been addressed, yet is part of the daily life of someone who is blind. Many people who are blind rely on others to assist them.
Byte assists discreetly through speech communication into an earpiece, the user can activate the product with hand-gestures near their plate. The gestures trigger either a visual description of the food in front of them or location of food items using the clock method. Byte allows people to feel more independent and in control.
