Moment
The Moment floor lamp draws inspiration from the pull-down lighting of the 19th century. Motivated by the concept of a tangible lighting experience, I sought to design a lamp that would grant users complete control over the light intensity through physical gestures. By lowering the shade, the user can decrease the brightness, fostering a more serene and relaxing ambiance.
Conversely, raising the shade towards the top enhances the intensity, providing a practical and brighter light. This distinctive interaction empowers users to have greater command over the lighting in their space, while also serving as a captivating conversation piece within their home.
